Fellows receive a $12,311 living stipend, health insurance, student loan forbearance, and a $5,730 education award (upon completion of the program). These benefits are awarded through the AmeriCorps VISTA program (Learn more about VISTA benefits ). No, it’s not a lot of money, but it can go a long way when housing is covered.
Fellows have regular opportunities to participate in leadership training, networking programs and events with Philadelphia’s civic leaders.
